Our Practice

Ms. Hughes has over thirty-five years experience practicing in the areas of employment litigation and counseling. She has extensive experience representing both employers and individuals in negotiating and drafting employment agreements, executive compensation agreements and severance agreements. She has counseled a wide variety of clients in the employment area with respect to federal and state employment statutes and regulations, avoiding and minimizing litigation risks and the development and drafting of employee handbooks and policies.

She also specializes in the area of restrictive covenants and trade secrets, litigating and resolving disputes pertaining to restrictive covenants, trade secrets, unfair competition, breach of fiduciary duties and related topics.  She has conducted numerous independent workplace investigations on a wide variety of workplace issues, including claims of race, age and gender discrimination and sexual harassment.
